Budget: To determine a ballpark budget for a turn key custom log home use the main and loft or second floor square footage as your guideline. If you are planning on hiring a general contractor, use a starting range of $200-$250/per sq. ft. Many high end homes will exceed $400/ft. These price’s include the log work aspect of the home. Unless you are building a simple get away cabin cost will generally be in excess of $350,000. Savings can be realized by those finishing there own homes.
